Follow Our
Every year, THOUSANDS of horses and donkeys are shipped to Mexico and Canada to be slaughtered. We are changing that every day!
Our Rescues to Date:

- Three goats
- Two cows (Holstein Friesian)

- Two rabbits
- Three kittens

Sponsor a Rescue
Sponsor an animal of your choice, name the animal, provide a paddock or stall, a halter and lead rope, dental and vet visits with meds, and monthly needs for the animal. The ranch will provide a plaque with your name on the provided space of that animal.

Monthly needs consist of:
- stall mats
- wood chips for bedding
- hay
- grain
- hoof trim
- treats
Volunteer
Volunteers will engage in a variety of tasks, such as feeding, mucking stalls, cleaning tack, and attending to the needs of the horses, including turning them out, lounging, blanketing, tacking, lunging, hand walking, and wrapping legs.
We are also in great need of volunteers who can donate their time to market, fundraise and help with events.
If you are interested in volunteering, please email info@dawnhavenranch.org. We will send you our volunteer package, including a sheet to provide information on your availability and experience working with horses.

Adoption
- Send us an email at info@dawnhavenranch.org with the animal.
- You will receive a response with an Adoption Questionnaire.
- We then set an appointment for you and your animal to interact together to ensure a match.
- If it is a match, we ask you to complete the Adoption Application, which will be verified and sent for board approval.
